Still sconing

I’m still on my scone mission, and I must say I’m getting closer to creating the perfect recipe. Before I begin, though, I have to clarify that I’m not creating a traditional crumbly scone. I’m looking for a scone, shortcake, biscuit hybrid–a sciscuit? If you have name ideas, pass them on. I think I’m going to go with shortcake scone.

Fatigue, doldrums continue..affecting my Mom?

So, I’ve spoken very generally about the summer doldrums, the irrepressible, depressing news stories, the pervaisive doom and gloom news, now add the heat and humidity, and throw in a touch of caring for an elder Mom (age 94) while balancing work, and 5 grandchildren. All this mixed together leads to enormous fatigue and ravaging what little brain cells that remain awake and moving to ask: what shall I write about on my blog?
