Economy depression: Enter Cloris Leachman

Ok, the economy is in the trash. The rational politicos agree that the Bush bail out that puts 1 person in charge with no oversigth and accountability is NOT the way to go. The news is depressing. There seems to be no end in sight. Everyone and there mother has a thought as to what should be done. We need help! For those of us who had hoped to retire and thought we had this all mapped out, we know now, that is a dream, not a reality. Enter Cloris Leachman.

While all this is occuring, one bright spot appears on Dancing with the Stars ( a show I do not watch regularly but had to watch Cloris who is 82, my new idol).

If you missed the show, you missed a classy, bold, lady give dancing her all and tell off the judges, in her own inimitable style. It brought me to tears, from laughing, not crying. She has more energy than John McCain and Palin put together. She probably has more brains then them also but that’s another story.

So here she is….the grand dame of the reality shows (and that’s no metaphor for life, but maybe it should be). Enjoy and don’t forget to post your comments about this show, Cloris, and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness!

I’ve always loved her. 82?! Wow. I must say this program has really showcased a lot of older folks.

I agree with Rhea. She was like a breath of fresh air. She brought new life to those of us who are old enough to be sick and tired of older people jokes. I can’t wait for next week!!

I saw her the second night too. Wow, she is certainly my idol. I bet she could even whip these politicians into actually doing something positive like fixing the economy.
