A banana milkshake for my sis
Posted on 17 October 2008

Who says milkshakes are only for summertime?! Milkshakes taste good all year round and are another easy made-for-one dessert.
No, they’re not particularly healthy, considering you put about twice as much ice cream or more than a normal serving. But who’s counting calories? Add a banana and feel a little better.
Recipe: Banana milkshake
Serves one
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
1 banana, thinly sliced
Put all ingredients in a food processor (I prefer to use my food processor over a blender because I think it makes a smoother shake). Pulse a few times, then run the processor until ice cream is blended and no large scoops remain. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

People who live or at least eat alone tend to cook less because most recipes serve four to eight people, not one. And most ingredients are scaled for those recipes, so waste seems inevitable. This blog is my way of bringing easy, delicious, healthy single serving dishes to those who cook for themselves. You don’t have to be a chef; here you’ll find tips and recipes that make cooking for one enjoyable and satisfying.

Simple but I love it. Still, I’m all out of ice cream right now
