I went to see Grease at the Hippodrome in Baltimore last night! It was so much fun and I’ve been singing show tunes in my head all day; holding back from verbal outbursts in order to escape humiliation from the coworkers. DO BOP SHEWADA WADA DIPPITY DOOP DEE DO! The highlight of the show was when American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks played Teen Angel and sang “Beauty School Drop Out”. He popped out of a giant ice cream cone, it was a real ‘treat’. At the end of the show, he sang his new single “What’s Right is Right”. I’ve never been a big fan of American Idol, so I didn’t follow his progress. In comparison to his newly released single, hearing him sing live is much better. He puts more emotion into the lyrics and his voice doesn’t sound so mainstream. But that is just my opinion. Perhaps you are wondering why I skipped my blog duties last week?! Allow me to introduce 4 reasons…
I am fostering a litter of four kittens right now! They are a very active bunch. Probably the most active and fast moving litter I have ever fostered and I have had the opportunity to foster quite a few litters. This week I will be making some toys for them to play with. As you can imagine, a crumpled up piece of paper only lasts for so long. Derrick can vouch for that!

Just a FYI:
Um…..Taylor Hicks won AI 2005; he was not the runner up. Also his new CD hasn’t been released yet, (In comparison to his newly released album, hearing him sing live is much better) but it is true he is one hell of a live performer.

Actually, Taylor won AI in 2006. His CD is going to be released March 10th of this year.

You have a lot of nerve calling Taylor Hicks a runner up. He was the most successwful of American Idol winner so far. He is in great demand all over the world and when his new CD comes out, you will see it zoom up to the top of the charts. His single is already heading afor number one, I predict it will reach number one in one more week. Never call Taylor Hicks a runner up, that proves you don’ know much do you. He has millions of fans.

The kittens are adorable. And I love the names.
Its been awhile since I have had a cat. My new house is rather small and I just haven’t been ready to replace the cat and little dog I had for so long.
I am so glad you got to see Grease and Taylor Hicks, he is just about as much fun as a litter of kittens. lol

Sorry Sara, boy mention an american idol and it brings out all kinds. You were hit by the well known Hicks hater that goes by many names and shows up wherever his name is mentioned, pretends she is a fan in order to make his fans look nutty. I am a big time Hicks fan but its certainly true that Carrie has been the most successful with sales. He is such a good live entertainer and I have high hopes for this next album. Whatever is sells, there are some great songs on there.

Good review of Grease. Taylor is the word! I just wanted to mention how much I admire folks that can take in and foster animals (like your four kitties). They are absolutely adorable and I can imagine that they are keeping you very busy. We need more folks like you that are able to help these little creatures find new homes.

I have nothing against Taylor Hicks, but I think Carrie Underwood has got to be THE most successful Idol to date, and for good reason!!!!
