I had to take time out from my home improvements so that I could share this mothers day craft! In March, two new members of our family were welcomed into the world and my mom is now the proud grandmother of three grand babies! As a gift I have made her paper beads of all of her grandbabies faces and will be making them into a bracelet for her. Awhile back I did a series of blogs about hand made paper beads. Please refer to Handmade paper beads, which will carry you through each step of how to roll them. The only thing that is different with the mothers day beads are the shape. Also please note, do not use nail polish to coat the bead. It will discolor the ink if you have printed the photos with a lazer or ink jet printer. This idea was inspired by a posting on the “RunsWithScissors” blog!

This is truly inspired–what a great idea for the proud mothers and grandmothers! How about a version for the dads and granddads out there?

In March, two new members means twins ! Congratulations, I wish them good luck. Every mother is special and the way you designed a bracelet for her is also special and unique.

I’m sorry that I didn’t clarify, but they are not actually twins. My brother and sister each had a baby, and both were born in March! That’s perfect timing considering that my brother and I were born in March as well!
