Still struggling to get back to a work-brain function regularity after being off for 2 ½ weeks. I thought about a recent article one of our writers, Lisa Rademakers, did for our Good Health Starts Here newsletters on the brain function. I have been out for 2+ weeks after Cataract surgery. The surgery was fast; the doctors were exceptional as was the staff; the eye is great; the left eye is not (no cataract) so the 2 eyes are different and seeing had to wait till glasses were done.
Did a lot of TV watching and playing with grandchildren. I even got up at 4 on Black Friday to go with my daughter in law to shop for deals. I got a lot of deals; and a lot of headaches; not Read the full story

Who knew? If you surf the web, you may increase your brain’s function; especially if you are a boomer and above! This is reported in a press release on WebMD. the release reports on a new study by UCLA (Parvin Foundation funding) that looked at brain activity during web searches.
They found that for middle to older adults had more stimulation of decision making and complex reasoning areas of the brain than peers who were new to web surfing. They also found that reading does not stimulate the same areas of the brain as Internet surfing does. Read the full story
