Is there anything left to say? Yes: VOTE!

The pollsters are saying over one third of registered voters have already voted. So will their votes be counted in with tomorrow’s vote? Will the absentee ballots be counted? Our system does not ever seem to keep up with the election process and absentee ballots are never counted before or by the election. Has anyone really been updating the early votes or will those come later? Our bureaucratic governments (local and national) at their best or worst! Read the full story

Sorry seems to be the hardest word; It’s 1964 again

Representative John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and known and respected civil rights leader, said that Senator John McCain and his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, were “sowing the seeds of hatred and division” in a way that reminded him of former Gov. George Wallace and “another destructive period” in the nation’s history. Public Believes Biden won debate: Pew

To read the full report, click here. According to Pew “While last week’s vice-presidential debate had a larger audience than any other in history, voters’ impressions of Sarah Palin have changed little. A special re-interview this weekend of voters who had first been polled a week ago found that most (55%) continue to have a favorable view of Palin, but most (52%) also still believe that she is not qualified to serve as president, if it becomes necessary.

In contrast, voters’ opinions of Joe Biden have improved since the previous Pew survey conducted Sept. 27-29. Biden’s favorability rating among registered voters recontacted over the weekend climbed from 54% to 63%, and the percentage believing he is qualified to serve as president jumped to 77% from 69% a week earlier.”

81% of viewers felt Biden did good to excellent as compared to 65% for Palin.

BIDEN and PALIN: TONIGHT’S the NIGHT

Who’s On First? Tonight’s the Night! This blog (and my other blog at www.ericksonblog.com/blog) have discussed many times the disconnect between the media and the public, especially as it comes to the election of the next president. Polls conducted by various media outlets have McCain in the press more than Obama (et tu brute?); and even the first presidential campaign, except for Bob Read the full story
