Representative John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and known and respected civil rights leader, said that Senator John McCain and his running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin, were “sowing the seeds of hatred and division” in a way that reminded him of former Gov. George Wallace and “another destructive period” in the nation’s history. Sadly, I don’t disagree with him as noted in my “negativity blog”. But I also believe this campaign wreaks of the 1964 when LBJ attacked Goldwater with perhaps the most frightening campaign ad of its time (till now). Read the full story
