Aging…part one


I’ve been thinking, a somewhat rare occurance these days, but I’ve been thinking about age and aging. So am I an age? or a person? Same question to you. Are you an age, or a person? Does a number make you feel old? Do people make you feel old? Does your ability to do things make you feel old? and, what is old?

Age does NOT define who you are


For almost a year I have been blogging. A newbie to blogging, I am still trying to find my voice. I write on almost anything. Lately I have gotten caught up in the political realm (see Election blog), the economy and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I have posted on health items. Some of you comment; some visit. At least I know you read these though some are reticent to write.

I also have some favorite blogs; Ronni Bennett of Time Goes By is by far my favorite. I can relate to almost everything she writes. Today she had Saul Friedman, a well known journalist who at 60, began writing Gray Matters for Newsday, blog about his career. You have to read it. Click here. That blog, others, and the research and writing our group is doing for a new book Erickson is writing have inspired me to blog about age……it does not define who we are or what we have accomplished.
