What’s really going on behind the democratic convention?

Beats me what’s really going on behind the scenes. There are over 400 news articles, each has its own slant though some, created by wire services like AP, all say the same thing. I believe most political conventions are staged marketing and advertising campaigns designed to bring you from consideration to commitment. To see the absolutely brutal side of the marketing and advertising campaign, you have only to read Advertising Age and their blog. To see the DNC from the inside of the ad industry perspective, go here and subscribe to their RSS feed.

While most people are asking themselves who is the better presidential candidate for the country, Ad Age is conducting a poll on which presidential candidate is better to marketing?

Here are the results so far:

Which presidential candidate is better for the marketing industry? Obama won over McCain.

Is this a sign?  More to come. Share your thoughts on the Democratic Convention and/or the 2008 Presidential Campaign. From time to time, I will add some fun photos that reflect this presidential year and its campaign issues.
