Beats me what’s really going on behind the scenes. There are over 400 news articles, each has its own slant though some, created by wire services like AP, all say the same thing. I believe most political conventions are staged marketing and advertising campaigns designed to bring you from consideration to commitment.To see the absolutely brutal side of the marketing and advertising campaign, you have only to read Advertising Age and their blog.
