Clifford LaMason AKA LeftyI started playing the Wii when I visited my grandson and got to play with his. I used to bowl duckpin many, many years ago so I have a little skill to bring to the table. Practice, practice, practice–that’s how I’ll train. |

Charlotte La Mason AKA Sure-ChotI learned to play the Wii at our grandson David’s home. Our son-in-law David kept making comments about my sure shots–that’s how I got my nickname. In the 1950s and 60s I bowled duckpin at Parkville Lanes and Hillendale Lanes. Oak Crest is definitely the best community in the competition. I am practicing daily with my husband and also practicing with my team. |

Louise Ross AKA Queen of SparesJane Powell introduced the Wii to the residents of Oak Crest. Oak Crest resident are the best because they’re the most active, love the Wii, and play well as a team.I am the ‘Queen of Spares’ because I roll spares better than strikes. I had never bowled before the Wii came to Oak Crest. While I train, I’m going to practice standing straight and throwing fast curve balls. Highland Springs in Texas is going to be our biggest competition because they grow them ‘BIG’ down South. |

Carolyn Sibley AKA Tiny SibI was asked to play the Wii as a demonstrator in the OCV-TV studio. I also had an opportunity to demonstrate it for two weeks in the Windows lobby. The Mighty Oaks are the best because we are very interested in Wii Sports and promote the game often. My nickname is Tiny Sib because I’m short and Sib is the first three letters of my last name. Sib was also my husband’s nickname in the Navy. Our toughest competition is going to be Greenspring in Virginia. I’m not worried though–I have plenty of experience. I bowled ten pins in Florida for two years. I also play other sports on occassion–golf and bocce ball. I’ll be training too–practice makes perfect and I’ll be eating well to keep up my strength. |
